Sorry for the rant, but I just have to put this out there. Last night I worked about 7 hours until 12:30 AM. Got home and in bed by 1:15. Today, I'm going back at 9:00 AM... So I had to wake up at 7:15 to get ready. I'm there until 4:30 this afternoon, meaning that by the time I get home I will have been at or traveling to/from work for about 17 out of 24 hours, eating breakfast and getting ready for one, and only sleeping for six. I didn't even have dinner yesterday, and I don't think I'll get a full lunch break today.
I mean, god damn. There are like 30 employees at my theater and we really only need one person there on a Sunday morning. Why does it have to be me?

A few years back I worked in a fancy restaurant by the riverside. I did the lunch shift from 10am to about 4pm, quick lunch break, then the dinner shift from about 6pm to midnight. That's in theory of course, as we couldn't leave until the last customer was gone and my greedy mofo boss would never ask any clients to leave no matter how late it was, so during the height of the tourist season I would often end my shift at around 4am.
By that time I didn't have a bus home anymore until about 6 am, but considering 1 hour trip each way that left me about 2 hours left to sleep before I had to be there again next day, so I would just pull an all-nighter in the bar next door with my colleagues or fashion a bed out of some cushions and sleep on the floor until morning.
I don't work there anymore.

I worked at a restaurant washing dishes to pay for my first car. Saturday night, I'd typically be there until 1am to 2am and would have to return Sunday morning at 8 am. Sundays were horrible because I would be exhaused and it was a buffet, so all of the steamer table dishes would have a layer of concrete like food to remove. When I finally did walk out, it was on a Sunday.

Speak to your boss about the scheduling. Keep working there while you look for something else with proper hours.

My thoughts (Having done that or far worse)
I assume you don't mean to make a career of this, but...
I think anywhere you go if you want to be successful you will have this. As for minimum wage or not, who cares? The experience and character building is worth it. When you are in an interview for the next job, or the first job outside of this stuff. It will speaks tons about your character that you were trusted and committed enough to work the closing shift, turn around in a few hours and keep going. If I were hiring entry level in any professional field this would be a characteristic I would want to know about, because it says you are hard working, dependable and committed.
Every field will have these days. I have had 20+ hours days, and I have had 20 hours days, 2 hours of sleep and been right back at it.
Now, don't get me wrong, it sucks. It is hard, and it isn't fair to you that others get it easy. But if ever you want to pull ahead in your career this is where it starts. Technical brilliance, a shiny/ fancy degree etc. all help but proving you can sacrifice for the company goes further most the time.
If your in High school or under 18 this is illegal however.
If this happens often, maybe you should talk with whoever schedules you.
If it happens rarely and just sucks, I'd make sure it gets noted that you never complain when the theater is in an pinch and needs you to make a sacrifice in order for it to operate smoothly.

search Mike Rowe talking about minimum wage increases and his first job in a movie theatre. Its unfortunate tosay but this is where you learn tact, how to take crap from people and survive on no respect. Again, valuable stuff to learn. All growns up i can say that interpersonal skills and dealingc with crap isnt taught in school but is becomming more valuable every year.
